PRESS RELEASE

Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited and Grace Impact gGmbH have sponsored their 4th

A GOOD WATER PROJECT in 2023

at THE BUDDE UMEA PRIMARY SCHOOL !

Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited selected a GRACE 240-DWS, a medium-capacity point-of-use drinking water system that employs Viqua’s proven UV technology.  A 250-liter stainless steel tank was also donated to store purified water for the school.

This water purifier machine purifies 240 litres of water an hour using Viqua’s ultraviolet (UV) disinfection technology. The chemical-free process removes 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa, thus meeting the World Health Organization’s and the Uganda National Bureau of Standards’ (UNBS) requirements for potable water.

Budde UMEA Primary was identified as a GWP recipient during our customer service calls in the Mpigi area.  GCEWL offers guaranteed post sales customer service at its customers’ premises.  We only use genuine Viqua spare parts as the use of other third-party spare parts can incur high risks for the VIQUA machines.  Beware of our competitors who lack the inventory to service your Viqua machines properly. These Good Water Programs are made possible by the continuous and generous grants made by Grace Impact.

Mr. Kirumira Muhammed, the Head Teacher, is overwhelmed with joy since the receipt and installation of the water purification system at their school. “Many thanks to the GCEWL Technical team who did the installation,” he told us.

“With a population of 710 children aged 5–18 years, one of the school’s challenges is the lack of access to safe drinking water. Many children cannot afford two meals a day while at school and carry food items which they often wish to prepare and eat with water.  Using water directly from the tap, a borehole or a well is a large problem since the water is not potable,” cited Mugejjera Richard Yiga, the schosl’s Project Coordinator.

Budde UMEA Primary School is a 90-year-old Primary School, established in 1933. It is a Government Aided School under the Universal Primary Education (UPE) Policy arrangement and was established by the Muslim faithful who offered land to educate the community’s children.
