Project Description

Safe, clean drinking water – anytime and everywhere

SolarWave AB was founded 2009 in Gävle, Sweden. The company produces, sells and operates high-quality, modern water purification devices. The purification system is powered by solar energy (using an integrated solar panel) or by electricity (connected to the grid). Technologies used to purify water are ultraviolet (UV) and reverse osmosis which can disinfect and de-salt water. The entire process is chemical-free.
SolarWave’s Mission:
SolarWave believes that everyone should have access to safe, affordable drinking water. They are devoted to developing the most cost-effective water treatment solutions to improve living conditions for the less privileged and support the sustainable development of distressed areas.
SolarWave aims to become one of the leading suppliers of solar-powered water purification solutions for global NGOs, charities and local commercial companies in Africa, the Middle-East and South America.

The facts speak for themselves:

SolarWave ‘s revenue growth continues. Its Ugandan subsidiary sold a total of 135 systems in 2017 versus 85 in 2016. The business pipeline is expanding with orders from MSB, Amref Health Africa, UNICEF, UNHCR and local companies and schools.

Access to “Clean Water and Sanitation” is a very important SDG for Grace Impact. We specifically seek collaborations with companies or initiatives that focus on scalable clean water and sanitation solutions, especially on solutions that can be easily duplicated in many countries and markets. Technology is not the top priority for Grace Impact, but rather how to distribute and connect to people in rural areas who lack access to clean water and proper sanitation.
